Pray.

One day Jesus told his disciples a story to show that they should always pray and never give up

Luke 18:1

Don’t give up. Pray, even when it seems your pleads are not being answered. Pray, even when you are tired and weary. Pray, even when you feel lost or like you’ve drifted away.

He knows, He listens, He cares.

The story Jesus shares after verse 1 tells of a judge who “neither feared God nor cared about people.”  A widow of that city came to the judge, asking him to help her. She didn’t ask once; Scripture says she went repeatedly.

“The judge ignored her for a while, but finally he said to himself, ‘I don’t fear God or care about people, but this woman is driving me crazy. I’m going to see that she gets justice, because she is wearing me out with her constant requests!’”

Then the Lord said, “Learn a lesson from this unjust judge.  Even he rendered a just decision in the end. So don’t you think God will surely give justice to his chosen people who cry out to him day and night? Will he keep putting them off? I tell you, he will grant justice to them quickly! But when the Son of Man returns, how many will he find on the earth who have faith?”

Keep praying. Have faith.

Pray for your family.
Pray for your job.
Pray for your studies.
Pray for your friends.
Pray for your future (or current) spouse.
Pray for direction.
Pray for wisdom.
Pray for God to use you wherever you go.
Pray for peace.
Pray for clarity.
Pray for your country.
Pray for the poor and homeless.
Pray for your leaders.
Pray for your talents and gifts.
Pray for your calling.
Pray for His desires to become yours.
Pray for His glory in your life.

Speak to God constantly. Develop a friendship with Him. He’s waiting and He wants to bless you.

Go to Him again.

Nathalia, this post spoke to me so much! Specially this part hit right on the spot, “Don’t give up. Pray, even when it seems your pleads are not being answered. Pray, even when you are tired and weary. Pray, even when you feel lost or like you’ve drifted away.” Praying without ceasing for everything has always been my struggle. I always start well, but as the busyness of the week starts to kick in. I slowly start to diminish my conversations with God. As well as the lifelong prayers that never seem to get answered fully discourage me to continue praying for them. This post encouraged me to diligently seek Him no matter the circumstances. Trusting that He will answer at due time and give me strength. Thank you!!
