Openwork is currently engaged in a search to find a dependable and hardworking Forklift/Material Handler in Palmdale, FL . In this hands-on and fast-paced role, you’ll be responsible for safely moving materials throughout the facility while performing pallet rework and maintaining safe, stable product loads. Apply today if you meet the qualifications listed below. In a Forklift/Material Handler job you’ll be responsible for:
? Safely operate a forklift and other material handling equipment
? Move, stage, stack, and store inventory and product pallets throughout the facility
? Perform hands-on rework of damaged or broken product pallets
? Manually swap out broken pallets and ensure products are properly positioned
? Replace damaged product bags or boxes as needed
? Restack products to maintain stable and secure loads
? Follow all workplace safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area
? Perform additional material handling duties as assigned
? Ability to safely operate a forklift and material handling equipment
? Ability to perform heavy manual lifting and physical labor
? Ability to lift, bend, stoop, and perform repetitive material handling tasks
? Ability to manually swap pallets and restack heavy product bags/boxes
? Ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse or production environment
? Strong attention to safety and load stability
? Dependable attendance and a strong work ethic
? $18.50 per hour
