As aChemical Process Engineer,you will be the technical lead for assigned reactor systems. This is an onsite position at PPG’s Circleville, Ohio facility and reports to the Process Engineering Manager.Key Responsibilities:Monitor the quality of and improve manufacturing methods from raw material receipt to customer delivery to ensure all customer requirements are metLead the proper operation of reactor systems to ensure compliance with established safety standards, customer requirements, and automotive quality standardsLead the scale-up of new products and assure quality systems are in place for process changes to existing productsUse Lean methodologies to find opportunities, recommend solutions, and implement corrective actions to help meet plant safety, cost, and productivity goalsDevelop complete and accurate production logs that ensure safe procedures for producing quality productsComplete daily technical review of production batchesSupport the development and presentation of training programs for operators and other department personnelQualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering required3+ years experience in chemical manufacturing preferredUnderstanding of polymer/organic chemistryBasic knowledge of chemical plant unit operations (batch reactors, heat transfer, process control, etc.) and chemical plant equipment operations (pumps, piping, tanks, heat exchangers, etc.)About us:PPG: WE PROTECT AND BEAUTIFY THE WORLDThrough leadership in innovation, sustainability and color, PPG helps customers in industrial, transportation, consumer products, and construction markets and aftermarkets to enhance more surfaces in more ways thandoes any other company.
